I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.Psalms 143:5

Thought

Psalm 143 David prays for deliverance from enemies and for divine leading as he encourages himself in the Lord in verse 5.
Remembrance of God’s past acts of deliverance encourages one to appeal more. Can you count your blessings? They are far more numerous than your mind can tell! Are you in trouble, do you think that the Lord has forgotten about you? “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
Isaiah 49:15. What a holistic assurance!
Just cast your mind back and see how much the Lord has done for you; how much love grace and mercy He has lavished on you. Remember that the Lord is not slack concerning His promises!

Prayer

Lord I thank you for your loving kindness towards me. Your mercies have been new every morning. May I rejoice in your grace which is sufficient for each day. I will still hope and trust in your goodness in Jesus’ name Amen!
