God Himself has provided a way of salvation. Jesus died to save us from our sins and today that same light is beaming out to you.
When Jesus was crucified there were two robbers, one on His left and the other on His right. Jesus was in the middle, equally available to them both! Mark 15:27; John19:18 One robber reflected on his sinful life and in simple faith he asked the Lord to remember him when He came into His Kingdom and Jesus gave him a wonderful reply- that very day he would be in paradise with the Lord. The other robber missed the blessing and he missed it forever! What about you?
Heavenly Father thank You for Your love, for giving Jesus Christ as the only way to eternal life. This day I realize my sinfulness and repent of my sins, please come into my life and be my Lord and Saviour for in you I am a new creation in Jesus’ name, Amen.
To whom will you liken God or what likeness will you compare Him? Definitely there’s none! Inasmuch as there is none like You, O Lord (You are great, and Your name is great in might), who will not fear you? The three Hebrew boys had resigned themselves to the fact that whether God decides to rescue them or not, their faith would not waver! Have you been overwhelmed by your present circumstances? Hold on don’t give up because you have a Deliverer! Psalm 34:19 – Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. God is still on His Throne and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever! Are you alive? Then He has delivered you from floods, winds and fires. He has delivered you from the flying arrows of the day time, the wastes and destructions of the noon day, the pestilence of the darkness and the terrors of the night! Hallelujah, you are still alive!
Almighty God, Preserver of life. There is none like you glorious in holiness and doing wonders all the time. Please increase my faith so that I’ll hold on to your promises of deliverance, and set my Spirit free from fear and anxiety in Jesus’ name Amen!
Now we’re alive in Christ forever more. Hitherto we were dead spiritually, but thanks be to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who saved us by His grace and mercy. We are now called to new life in Him! Paul’s letter to the Colossian believers demonstrated Christ’s supremacy over every human philosophy and accomplishment. It is imperative that we set our affections on heavenly things such as our eternal security. Also don’t forget that our Lord lives to intercede daily on our behalf and denounce the accuser of the brethren.
Heavenly Father, you have won the victory for me on the cross of Calvary. Please help me to overcome my fleshly desires and walk according to the Spirit so that I live in the newness of life through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen!
Psalm 143 David prays for deliverance from enemies and for divine leading as he encourages himself in the Lord in verse 5. Remembrance of God’s past acts of deliverance encourages one to appeal more. Lord I thank you for your loving kindness towards me. Your mercies have been new every morning. May I rejoice in your grace which is sufficient for each day. I will still hope and trust in your goodness in Jesus’ name Amen!
Light often symbolizes well being, dispelling darkness and giving illumination. David was hopeful of God’s saving grace when under attack, he knew his Faithful God would not forsake him.
Even though his adversaries were all around him and spreading lies, he was so confident of the Lord’s protection and defence and therefore was not afraid. He encourages himself with the following verse “In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Psalms 56:4
Jesus Christ came as the light of the world (John 8:12) and has now made us the light of the world to give hope and light to those who are in darkness. Great responsibility!
Dear Father, You are our Refuge and Fortress, our Sun and Shield, may we completely trust and believe in your word so that in times of crisis we’ll find strength to hope in your salvation in Jesus’ name Amen!

Again in Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
