The heart is desperately wicked above all else, who can tell? All evil flows out of the heart. And yet from the same heart flows God’s love, peace, and joy. Our Awesome God who created us in His image and likeness expects us to exhibit same characteristics as demonstrated by Jesus Christ as He walked this earth. Who may stand before the Lord? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in idols or swear by a false God.(Psalm 24:3-4) What is ruling your heart right now? Are you cultivating the fruit of Spirit? Do you want to see God and dwell with Him eternally, then purify your thoughts and live for Jesus alone!! Allow Him to use you to establish and expand His Kingdom; to fulfill His purposes in your life. Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14.
Our Heavenly Father, I come before your Throne of Grace and ask that you forgive me, cleanse and purify me of all my sins and thereby live in the new creation you have blessed me with. Make me pure within in Jesus’ name, Amen.
It is not the dead who praise God but the living. We are alive to enjoy the blessings of God both spiritual and physical. Among the dead no one proclaims the name of the Lord, neither does anyone praise Him from the grave. This day remember and focus on God’s mercies and loving kindness. Celebrate His deliverances. There is total security with God the Sustainer and Protector of Life! God will not abandon His own, but rather lead them in the path of life. What rich assurance! The Lord will deliver you from all evil, from all your enemies because of His unfailing love. Therefore be hopeful! He is the same God yesterday today and forever. God cannot break His promises, they’re Yes and Amen!
Heavenly Father, I praise you and bless your Holy Name. Thank you for giving me abundant life. I declare that I will not believe the negative thoughts that the devil puts on my mind to confuse me to focus all attention on him. Lord please increase my faith so that I’ll focus on You, my living Hope. For in You is newness of life through Jesus Christ our Risen Lord, Amen.
This is a call to arise from the depression and frustration in which circumstances have kept you. A call to rise to a new life! A call to be radiant with the glory of the Lord! Announcing a new manifestation of God’s redeeming glory. No more depression, rejection, addiction, low self esteem, sexual sins, despair and hopelessness, fear and anxiety or anything else that draws one back or off track. Rejoice greatly and shout for joy for the new hope of life in Christ Jesus. For you shall see the glory of the Lord and the splendor of our God. Each day the Lord promises Resurrection that we may be born to new life. The Lord will fill you with His Holy Spirit anew that you may be alive again with His power and peace. You only need to free yourself from everything that entangles you – wake up – Christ is your Fountain of Life. God has provided the Water of Life through Jesus Christ who is your Light and Salvation, and because of this assurance you shall not fear what mere mortal can do to you! You will find life in its fullness as it was created to be before sin entered the world. Therefore let your heart be glad and your inner self rejoice, for your body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety.
Heavenly Father, please lead me in the way I should go, for you bore my sins in your body on the cross so that I might no longer live to sin but live in your righteousness. May you rekindle hope in my life to fulfill your plan and purpose and live by faith. Please open my eyes to see your presence in the Scriptures I read and be guided to live my life in worship to you now and forever more, Amen.
Beloved of the Lord, the Lord will bestow or lay up in store for His people a garment of praise. No longer will they be robed in shame or disgrace, their accusers will be silenced forever. Having thus been clothed, let us therefore clothe ourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision to satisfy the desires of the flesh. Let us walk in the example Christ gave us as He walked this earth and shared our life, let us also walk in His Resurrection. Then we will be comforted because the Lord is by our side. Let us throw away those black clothes (anything that draws us back). For the Lord our God will deliver us and our rejoicing will last forevermore; you only need to believe and trust in Him.
Heavenly Father, we praise You for your presence in our lives, and for all your goodness that You shower upon Your children in Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your promises to us and hope for tomorrow. May we not lose heart in our “wilderness” (trials and tribulations) but look to the bright future ahead of us in Jesus’ name, Amen.
What generosity! What act of kindness and selflessness! Why would Jonathan disrobe himself and hand over everything to his bosom friend David? Had he foreseen the future? Had the realization dawned on him that David was to assume his place as successor to Saul? So why? Because God….! Only God can allow that to happen – To allow destiny to start taking shape.
When God blesses He adds no sorrow to it [Proverbs 10:22]. Therefore whatever you’re going through is just a phase, whatever is deservedly yours as given by God will come to you. Only do not fret, focus on Christ alone. His assurance is this “Be still and know that I am God……” [Psalm 46:10] Don’t lag behind and don’t go ahead either. Just allow God to be in control. May God grant you a steadfast heart to seek Him diligently and you’d find Him. Inquire of him and He shall direct your path.
“The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations.” [Psalms 33:11]. Therefore just believe, hope and trust in Him as you claim His promises!
Heavenly Father, Creator of the universe, there is nothing too hard for you. Open my eyes that I may see your wonderful acts in my obedience to your word, my ears to hear your voice more clearly as You lead me to fulfill my God given destiny in Jesus’ name, Amen!
God Himself has provided a way of salvation. Jesus died to save us from our sins and today that same light is beaming out to you.
When Jesus was crucified there were two robbers, one on His left and the other on His right. Jesus was in the middle, equally available to them both! Mark 15:27; John19:18 One robber reflected on his sinful life and in simple faith he asked the Lord to remember him when He came into His Kingdom and Jesus gave him a wonderful reply- that very day he would be in paradise with the Lord. The other robber missed the blessing and he missed it forever! What about you?
Heavenly Father thank You for Your love, for giving Jesus Christ as the only way to eternal life. This day I realize my sinfulness and repent of my sins, please come into my life and be my Lord and Saviour for in you I am a new creation in Jesus’ name, Amen.
To whom will you liken God or what likeness will you compare Him? Definitely there’s none! Inasmuch as there is none like You, O Lord (You are great, and Your name is great in might), who will not fear you? The three Hebrew boys had resigned themselves to the fact that whether God decides to rescue them or not, their faith would not waver! Have you been overwhelmed by your present circumstances? Hold on don’t give up because you have a Deliverer! Psalm 34:19 – Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. God is still on His Throne and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever! Are you alive? Then He has delivered you from floods, winds and fires. He has delivered you from the flying arrows of the day time, the wastes and destructions of the noon day, the pestilence of the darkness and the terrors of the night! Hallelujah, you are still alive!
Almighty God, Preserver of life. There is none like you glorious in holiness and doing wonders all the time. Please increase my faith so that I’ll hold on to your promises of deliverance, and set my Spirit free from fear and anxiety in Jesus’ name Amen!
Now we’re alive in Christ forever more. Hitherto we were dead spiritually, but thanks be to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who saved us by His grace and mercy. We are now called to new life in Him! Paul’s letter to the Colossian believers demonstrated Christ’s supremacy over every human philosophy and accomplishment. It is imperative that we set our affections on heavenly things such as our eternal security. Also don’t forget that our Lord lives to intercede daily on our behalf and denounce the accuser of the brethren.
Heavenly Father, you have won the victory for me on the cross of Calvary. Please help me to overcome my fleshly desires and walk according to the Spirit so that I live in the newness of life through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen!
Psalm 143 David prays for deliverance from enemies and for divine leading as he encourages himself in the Lord in verse 5. Remembrance of God’s past acts of deliverance encourages one to appeal more. Can you count your blessings? They are far more numerous than your mind can tell! Are you in trouble, do you think that the Lord has forgotten about you? “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Isaiah 49:15. What a holistic assurance! Just cast your mind back and see how much the Lord has done for you; how much love grace and mercy He has lavished on you. Remember that the Lord is not slack concerning His promises!
Lord I thank you for your loving kindness towards me. Your mercies have been new every morning. May I rejoice in your grace which is sufficient for each day. I will still hope and trust in your goodness in Jesus’ name Amen!
Light often symbolizes well being, dispelling darkness and giving illumination. David was hopeful of God’s saving grace when under attack, he knew his Faithful God would not forsake him.
Even though his adversaries were all around him and spreading lies, he was so confident of the Lord’s protection and defence and therefore was not afraid. He encourages himself with the following verse “In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Psalms 56:4
Jesus Christ came as the light of the world (John 8:12) and has now made us the light of the world to give hope and light to those who are in darkness. Great responsibility!
Dear Father, You are our Refuge and Fortress, our Sun and Shield, may we completely trust and believe in your word so that in times of crisis we’ll find strength to hope in your salvation in Jesus’ name Amen!
